"The pool was great for the whole family to enjoy. The quiet cul de sac was a short walk to the beach. The kids loved the basketball hoop and pool table. The decks and chairs were perfect for reading and watching the sunset. The fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom was key. The washer drier and multiple refrigerators and ice makers was helpful as well."

"We loved the openness of the top floor. The sitting area off the kitchen was awesome especially for chatting with my sisters. The pool was exceptional and it was great to have it cleaned in the middle of the week. The first floor was great for the older kids to hang out and play pool (everyone was over 21). This is by far one of the best houses we have stayed at in the 22 years we have been visiting OBX!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hakuna Matata in Duck. As always, Duck is such a sweet, charming, and perfectly family friendly town on the Outer Banks. The home itself was just perfect inside and out. The layout is well thought out- spacious living spaces and bedrooms. Aside from the Jack and Jill bedrooms for the kids, every bedroom has a King bed with an en suite, which gave the different families ample privacy. We loved having a home well suited for our kiddos, with toys and books throughout the house and even a high chair and pack n play. This helped save so much packing space. Beds and linens are comfortable, plenty of seating to eat or lounge throughout the house, and a beautiful wrap around porch to sip coffee while the sun rises and wine when it sets over the sound. The house is a short and easy walk to a quiet beach with lifeguard on staff, and not overly crowded even at the height of the season. We loved having the beach wagon and chairs at our disposal. The icing in the cake was having our own private pool and hot tub at the house, the importance of which cannot be overstated when you have young kids. Everyone slept soundly after a day of beach, pool, shopping, and dining. I highly recommend following their Instagram page @hakunamatataobx for updates and endless ideas of things to do in Duck. The restaurant and shopping recommendations were especially helpful. This home is an absolute gem and it will always hold a special place in our hearts."

"The home was beautiful. I loved the melamine dishes in the kitchen. Would get a set for myself if I could. The pattern was great. I fixed all the dishes by sets while it rained the one afternoon. My family enjoyed the pool, basketball court as well as the pool table. I give your place 5 stars."
"This is a beautiful well cared for home. The interior and exterior are pristine and welcoming. The home has large comfortable bedrooms and plenty of amenities. There are lots of games and pool toys and also a cart to take to the beach. The kitchen is clean and well organized. We had a great stay at Hakuna Matata - thank you."
