"The kitchen was superior to other beach houses that we have rented in OBX: Simple layout, well-stocked. Heated pool! A must for the end of May in Duck. The arcade games, pool table, foosball and ping pong were a lot of fun."

"House was in a great location! Kitchen was very well stocked with all kinds of appliances, dishes and cookware. The house had a great pool and was so close to the ocean. Bathrooms were older/small but clean. We had a wonderful week."

"A call to maintenance about a sliding door which was off the track and would not open or close was answered promptly and cheerfully. The man who responded was there within about 90 minutes, and he was helpful, friendly, and funny; he took the door off entirely, then repaired and reset it on the track. It worked beautifully. Doctor's Orders has the very best equipped kitchen we've ever seen in a vacation rental, hands down! The only tool I didn't find was a pie lifter! They have equipped this kitchen for all-holiday cooking and family entertaining, with dual toasters, triple crockpots, blender, all sizes of casseroles, pots and pans, etc. These owners have even thought of the little things, like corn holders, individual dip/dressing/condiment dishes and cups, etc. The home is also equipped with super-comfortable beds, nice furnishings, and plenty of pool and beach equipment for a family. Thank you! NOTE TO TWIDDY MANAGEMENT: We should mention that we noticed as we were preparing for check-out--and drained/cleaned out, accumulated water from the cheese/cold-cut pullout bin at the bottom of the French door refrigerator. We THINK it may be that the ice maker/water dispenser has a clogged line or another problem which is causing that water accumulation."

"Great place. Great ocean view. Uses the community walkway to the beach, so lots of noise close by. Well furnished - we would vote for a toaster oven rather than two toasters - but there were only two of us in the home. Lots of games and toys - which we didn't use."

"The home is great! However, a few areas need some attention. First and foremost, there is no American flag to fly on the flagpole! The cover on the hot tub needs replaced. Too many table games on ground level now, making it very cluttered. The arcade games inside don't work. The new flooring is nice, but the rug on the stairs should be replaced. We had a great time at the beach and Doctor's Orders is a great place to be when vacationing in Duck."

"The big plus for this rental home is its proximity to the beach and amazing ocean views. It really worked well for our family of 12 (including four little ones five years and younger). The kitchen is stocked well minimizing the need to bring tool/equipment from home, and there is even a second refrigerator/freezer on the ground floor. Grilling out was so easy with a direct gas line to the grill. The beach chairs, umbrellas, and the boogie boards were appreciated. We loved the keyless entry (and checkout) as well as the opportunity to obtain an early check-in for an additional fee. We had one plumbing issue, but Twiddy responded within hours, and it was resolved. Definitely recommend Doctors Orders!"

"Doctor's Orders provided a wonderful house for my family to enjoy the beach the outer banks area and each other. The house is roomy, well appointed, full of amenities and conveniently located with easy access to the beach and a short walk to the town of Duck. Our party consisted of family members ranging in age from 5 to 65. We all greatly enjoyed the many amenities and appreciated the fully equipped kitchen."

"This is a solid 4 of 5 stars... The place is a bit older, but they had everything we needed including beach stuff, good activities, great location, etc. The only reason it's not a 5 is because some things were broken (deck chairs, fishing poles, the AC had a leak, no sharp knives, ice machine in the kitchen fridge didn't work, old washer/dryer, etc). Nit picky I know, but 5 stars does mean perfect. : )"
