"We loved Lookout by the Sea! Its location is a quick walk to the beach, and you can see both the ocean and the Sound from the upper deck. It has several sliders on the upper level which let in a lot of light and allow you to easily see the views and the sunrise/sunset. It's also a quick drive into Duck for wonderful restaurants and shopping. The kitchen is well stocked and labeled which we appreciated. We had a wonderful stay at this house!"

"The home was very welcoming and private. We loved sitting outside on the deck and eating some of our meals on the screened-in porch. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was very quiet. It's a quick drive (less than five minutes) into Duck village. The home has a smaller, stackable washer/dryer which meant we did laundry more often, but really not a problem for us at all. The one thing that I would caution folks about is the beach access. There's a wood walkway to the dunes but no stairs over the dunes. There's a path between the dunes on the sand that you take to get down to the beach and back up to the walkway. It was a little steep getting down to the beach and back up, especially carrying chairs and other beach belongings. I'm mentioning this as it might be a problem for someone with mobility issues. All in all, we loved the house and the location!"

"Location is great with an expansive view of the ocean. Well cleaned/sanitized this year. Outdoor shower could be improved. Microwave did not work properly; a new one to be ordered. A screen on a side porch continually falling out even though repairman fixed it. Light bulbs missing in downstairs bathroom and outdoor light. Overall a nice house suited for the size of our family."
"We absolutely loved this house! The views are gorgeous, it’s just a short walk to the beach, and the pool area was great. We have been coming to the outer banks for years and this was one of the best houses we’ve stayed in. We would probably make this our every year house if they allowed dogs!!!"
