Guest recommendations
"Loved the outdoor space, and location to town. We ALL would have enjoyed solar shades on the third floor overlooking the sound. The sun was so intense, making sitting in the living room very uncomfortable and preparing dinner excruciating."
"The entire home was clean and well kept and extremely well organized with labels for everything in the kitchen. They have all the little things you could need (reusable storage containers, small and large serving platters, plenty of silverware and dishes, cookware and bakeware, blenders, etc.). The outdoor area was a very nice size and had everything we needed for a large family!"
"Nice view; office set up; spacious rooms; pool/hot tub proximity; well outfitted with kayaks, paddleboards, spikeball, etc"
"This is our second stay at Sunlight on the Coast and we had another amazing vacation. The home is beautifully decorated, organized and clean. Our children loved the dock and spent most of their time on it. We crabbed, kayaked, enjoyed the pool/hot tub, had a (very competitive, double knockout) family pool tournament in the gorgeous bar and watched movies in the theatre on raining days. We look forward to returning next year!"
"The view of the sound was absolutely breathtaking."
Sorry Matt, we were not aware that the HVAC system was on it's last legs. We have replaced the system and it should be as cool as a cucumber for future guests!!
"This house was our 5th different house in the last 5 years of renting in the OBX. This was also the first one that we wanted to rent the following year. The location is perfect as it is a short walk to the shops and boardwalk in Duck. The layout of the house is great and the sunsets from the top deck were beautiful. The only bad thing to say is that we wanted to rent the house but it is not available for us in 2022 as it will be shut down for maintenance."
"Gorgeous home. Modern and beautifully decorated. Unbeatable location - one door down from the Duck boardwalk. We were able to walk with in 2 minutes of the shops and restaurants. Our children fished off of the dock and crabbed for hours as well as kayaked and paddle boarded up and down the coast. The house is exquisitely appointed and had everything we needed to cook formal dinners for a family of fifteen. The movie theatre was wonderful and the screen is much bigger then it looks in the picture. This was our first trip to the Outter Banks as life long Stone Harbor, New Jersey people and we will be retuning to “Sunlight on the Coast” next year!"
"Perfect location but in need of many upgrades/repairs. Stove/oven were both old, had to light gas burners by hand and oven took a good 45 minutes to heat up. Bulbs burnt out in several rooms, paddleboard was missing a fin. A LOT of minor things but really should be kept in better condition for the money it costs to rent this. Also there was no bedding to be found anywhere, only sheets on the beds and a few light blankets we found in the closets. We have stayed many different houses in four seasons including several on the bay but were pretty disappointed with this house."
Thomas, we're sorry the house wasn't in perfect condition. The oven will be replaced this offseason. The paddleboard will be removed and the bedding/blankets were removed as a COVID mandate by Twiddy. They assure me that they had informed you prior to your arrival. Thanks for the feedback!
"Awesome house and the view was spectacular!! Lots of activities on the Sound to keep our twenty somethings happy and entertained."
