"The location is great, the room layout is nice. We have a small group in the fall, but the rooms would work out well for a large group if they use the various levels, too. It does seem a bit pricey for the summer, but that is not my affair. I don't see how a really large group could get by with just the one refrigerator in the kitchen. (I know there is one on the bottom level, and maybe that can be designated for "massive dinner supplies" while upstairs could be for morning and lunch. We really love the crow's nest area for a morning chat. It also seems well soundproofed. Some more frying pans might be nice. A few more butter knives and sharpened cooking knives. The single worst thing about the house is the hot water taking so long to come around. The shower might run for three minutes before you can get in. But we will be back."

"The location is great. So close to the beach and the walkway. Having an ocean view from the living room and master bedroom is a reap plus. Likes the ship’s watch and the outdoor tiki bar. Realized on the second day that we also had the extra parking on the concrete pad out front which is super helpful."

"Overall the house was wonderful. There were a few items that attention needs to be focused on… The water temperature was cold for at least 4-5minutes before the Shower got warm especially in the master and second floor baths. The white shears are beautiful in the bedroom but if you want to sleep in the sun is so bright in the morning may want to consider a blind to pull down at night and for changing clothes. The last thing I would add would be another refrigerator in the upstairs kitchen. There were 15 of us and one refrigerator on the main floor was really not enough. The location of the house was spectacular and the room sizes were great. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back next year… Thank you for all you do at Twiddy!"
"We stayed at Ashore Bet the last week of June. The house was incredible! We loved the location on the culdesac right next to the beach access - you really can’t beat the location. The beach was beautiful. The pool, hot tub and cabana area in the back yard were fantastic. We rented bikes from Duck Cycle and really enjoyed being able to bike to shops and restaurants from the house. The elevator was helpful for bringing in groceries and luggage on check-in day. The kitchen was well stocked including large pots for boiling corn and even mallets for the night we ordered a bushel of crabs. The outdoor picnic table was perfect for that meal. There wasn’t any kitchen ware or appliance we needed that wasn’t supplied. We had plenty of space for our extended family, the bedroom setups were great. Some of the mattresses could use updating. I think the bedding in the house was the only thing I wasn’t really impressed with. Having said that, we would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the Outer Banks. Twiddy was amazing to work with - they are super responsive and so nice any time we had questions. And the owners were also helpful with one question we had about the sound system in the house. Note: If you’re trying to play music on the sound system they have throughout the house including by the pool, just connect your phone or other device to the WiFi and you’ll see all the speakers come up as devices you can connect to. You don’t have to locate a central system to plug your phone into."
"Great location. We have rented through Twiddy for 20 years & this home is wonderful. We loved the poolside cabana. Thank you to the owners for maintaining this home beautifully. I am sure the aging upstairs refrigerator will be replaced for next season. We will be back again next year."
"Lovely decorated home with plenty of space. Elevator is a plus. Short walk to beach. Did not give 5 star rating due to waiting awhile for hot water, no directions for TV's, and some deck furniture either needs painted or replaced."
"This house is a fabulous location for family or a group of friends enjoying a beach vacation. Close to the beach access. Easily accommodates eight couples and a couple of singles. Fantastic decor; great kitchen and food preparation area. Especially liked the pool and cabana with grills and refrigerator for cold drinks. We plan on returning for fourth year in a row - it’s that good."
