"Very nice home with the beach just down the street and a fabulous pool. Top level is the family gathering spot and it was inviting and comfortable. The pool area was really nice. The pool is a good size and the hot tub is conveniently located. Outdoor grill and covered picnic table were nice amenities. We had a really nice time and especially appreciate being able to bring our four legged family member!"

"We are long-time Outer Banks visitors and owners, and we were very pleasantly surprised by Walking on Sunshine. We arrived to a very clean and organized home which had obviously been updated and furnished with comfort and convenience in mind. The pool area was the nicest we have seen and the shaded area was very much appreciated. The decks were great, and the first-floor bedroom and sitting area are a great addition. The extra, huge refrigerator/freezer in the laundry area is wonderful."

"Stayed here June 26th to July 4th. I’ll break it down with the good and bad. First the good. The location is great. Close to the beach and within minutes to shopping and dining. The pool area is awesome. We spent a lot of time there. The gas grill seemed pretty new and worked great for the couple nights we cooked out. The beach cart and extra chairs were a nice touch too. Having a keyless entry for check in and check out was great. Saved us some time not having to go to an office to pick up keys. We did have a minor incident with the smoke detectors in the middle of the night, but Twiddy was quick to respond and advise us on what to do. And Now the bad, but keep in mind that nothing was so bad that it hindered us from having a good vacation. Just a few items that I thought was worth mentioning. The house was in what I’d consider decent condition. Mostly just needs a good cleaning inside and out and maybe some fresh paint outside. There were cobwebs everywhere and dead flies and bugs. You can’t use the screened in porch because of all the dead bugs (it was actually quite gross). The outdoor shower was equally as bad. The house does have well water which we knew prior to going but it does affect the water pressure, especially on the upper floor. The house is a little on the smaller side with 3 bedrooms on the middle level and only 1 bathroom to share (which we also knew) so just be mindful on how many adults Are in your party. Plus only about 3 ppl can get a shower before you run out of hot water. I think that’s about it. All in all we had a very good vacation. The house is functional but just not as functional as what we needed."
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We're glad that you had a good vacation and enjoyed the beach, pool and location! We want to address some of the items you mentioned that could be improved. Unfortunately, last summer was one of the buggiest ones experienced on the OBX. This was experienced by everyone and not limited to our home. While, we can't control nature, we will be working on the exterior shower and the screened-in porch to keep as it as clean and bug-free as possible.
