"I loved the location of the home on pine island and the size was perfect for our family"

"We've been coming to the OBX for 28 years now. this is the most spectacular home we have rented in all those years. It is readily apparent from the first step into this lovely, superiorly well-appointed home that the owner takes a keen interest in maintaining this home. The layout is terrific form the stupendous views of the Atlantic and beach, to the well-equiped kitchen, the ample parking space, the most comfortable upper entertainment area, the very large dining table and the very airy bedrooms and baths. Let's not forget the large, fun theater room(to be upgraded in 2026). The pool and deck, with its many chairs and lounges, allowed for many hours of beach cool down time, not to mention the two hot tubs and new three-level ocean-view deck. The near private beach is a significant plus and the cabana service completes the deal. Our family had a terrific time and have already booked this house for the following summer."

"The three-story deck is an awesome addition this year. So much more living space to an already spacious, well-equipped home. There are plenty of private spaces as well as community areas, allowing everyone to relax. The theater room was enjoyable, the bedrooms were perfect sizes, the washers and dryers on the first and second floor were very convenient, the pool was fantastic for everyone, and the cabana service was very nice."

"This is our ALL TIME favorite house in OBX. Our 2nd year here and we’ve already booked next summer. I cannot say enough about all the TLC that Twiddy and the owners have put into this home. We want for NOTHING ! In past years, we have gone out to eat a lot. We spent 2 weeks this year and only left for dinner once. The kitchen is just that fun to cook in and the deck is amazing place for all meals!"

"Sunrise - Sunset offers a unique beach front experience. The large gathering area on the third floor features a fully equipped kitchen where multiple "chefs" can organize and prepare meals. The large dining table allows family and friends to come together at meal time to engage in discussion and share their daily plans and experiences. The table enhances communication among family and friends the old fashioned way. The seating arrangement in the sitting area faces both west and east so that visitors can admire both the sun rises and the sunsets. During our week we even were blessed with a beautiful rainbow. The house offers multiple places where individuals can be alone or in small groups. There is even a small "office" space on the third floor for those who might want to write or study. The porches and decks are expansive and inviting. We loved the foliage covered "dune berm" which served to protect the pool and hot tubs from the winds and rough surf. It also was a "hide out" for local wild life including deer and rabbits. Although our week was a bit rainy we enjoyed games and puzzles together and found time to discuss issues and resolve troublesome matters. It was literally the perfect house for our family and friends. to come together to rest and recharge."

"Being oceanfront and also having views of the Gulf was amazing. The house was very comfortable with comfy beds and furniture. The decks were great. 2 hot tubs made room for everyone. The beach was great. Lots of fun playing cards at the expansive dining room table! Everything about the house and location was great! The theatre room and game room were both used extensively."

"We are a return customer and have stayed in this home for over four years. The new owners have made a lot of changes to the home. The sitting area at the top of the dunes is awesome and the tile floor in the dining and living room area was awesome and beautiful. When we got to the home it smelled amazing and clean and we left it just as clean as when we found it. We always treat the home with a lot of respect and we vacuum the floors and we even mopped the upstairs floor. The only downfall of the home is the pool is so expensive to heat and when heated it really isn't warm. Hoping one day that the new owners will do something with it to make the pool area more appealing. Hopefully more chairs could be added to the pool area as well. Other than the pool this home is perfect. The new owners have done an awesome job!!! We have rebooked for next year and cannot wait to see what new stuff they have done. Love the new appliances, and they work well. Would also hope to some day get the ice maker back!!"

"We loved the location, a single row of houses. Beach was never crowded. The new deck was a plus and also the new walkway to beach. We would have liked a table by the pool for eating lunch or dinner and the grill location was awkward. It also could have used a dish drainer for items that could not be put in dishwasher."

"Sunrise Sunset provided us with another wonderful vacation. The updates in appliances (looking forward to the new ovens that were installed on our last day!) and flooring are very much appreciated, and the new dune-top deck and walkways are fantastic! Having the Beach Cabana Plus is a very convenient, space-saving on the trip down amenity that we truly appreciated. Dolphins every day, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the quiet beach-Sunrise Sunset is a ideal vacation home! Looking forward to next year!"

"This home has the potential to be perfect, with beautiful views of the ocean and the sound. The beach is beautiful, but the boardwalk to it needs to be replaced. We had a few issues with the home which were handled as well as possible (A/C, kitchen faucet, stovetop to name a few), and enjoyed our interactions with the many Twiddy representatives and independent contractors, all of whom were polite, respectful and efficient. The common area on the third floor is spacious and airy, and we loved having two washers and dryers, two dishwashers, three fridges and the ice maker on the ground floor."

"Perfect location. Master on first floor needs a new bed. Totally sagging in the middle. Dishwashers need to be replaced, top rack of one was hard to slide out bc it was broken. Air on 2nd floor wouldn’t get cool enough. Couldn’t sit outside due to the spiders, mosquitoes and gnats. Not necessarily anyone’s fault but an exterminator might help. But again the location is amazing and made the above issues not so bad."

"Location is great-between Duck and Corolla shopping and restaurants. The views from everywhere on the property are wonderful-sunrise over the ocean-sunset over the sound! Great having 2 hot tubs and dining table that fits everyone! Came in handy playing card games, doing puzzles and board games. The movie/media room was great for game night playing quiplash type games or video games etc. You can tell the owners are making improvements-inside of house is very nice only notable complaint is the outside railings going to the beach. Trying to hold on to them poses splinter hazard (removed a few over the week) especially for younger and older people. Otherwise awesome place!"
