"Location is perfect. Amenities are great. Condition of pool and exterior is in need of some work but it did not impact our stay. Most of the doors and windows were in rough shape. Kitchen was nice and had all needed cooking utensils/flatware/etc. we had a few issues with the electrical-some breakers including the AC breaker tripped once. Not because of anything we were doing…. we would stay again. Overall a great place."
"We had a wonderful week with our family of 9. I was nervous about how the house would be and what everyone would think. Well it was as amazing as it is described on the website. And even though we had double red flags all week, kids still dipped feet in ocean, played on beach and came back to pool and hot tub. Our home was beautiful and clean upon arrival. Early check in was a life saver. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed for cooking throughout the week. Two dishwashers, two fridges, plenty of pans and serving items. The views just were breathtaking every minute of the day. I never even went to town to do any shopping. We went to Corolla fire dept and bought shirts. We also got pizza one night and also went on a horse tour. We were also fortunate to reserve a photographer at the last minute for wonderful family pictures on the beach. It is apparent that the owners truly care about their home and are invested in making a renters stay as wonderful as possible. We had no issues what so ever. If there was any possible way to pay to have had the pool heated for the week I would have done that. Currently we are on an every other year schedule. And I would truly look at Sea Gypsy in 2027. Twiddy was also very helpful in any questions I had prior to our trip and responded quickly."
"Size and space inside the house. Very nice and large bedrooms. Large private outdoor pool. All the utensils, pots and pans, utensils and plates you need. Two dishwashers and two refrigerators. House was very clean and well maintained."

"The views from the top floor is amazing on the front and back of the home. The kitchen is perfect for large groups and well equipped. Honestly the only setback is the pool isn't heated and the hot tub is in a dark corner under the deck which isn't ideal. However, it's a good home that's been well maintained. The owner even called after we checked in to check on us."
"Sea Gypsy is perfect for our family of 13! The kids have options on sleeping arrangements, the pool was a favorite both years as was the hot tub. The home is bright and nicely appointed. Even the most advanced cook will find all tools needed in the kitchen! We loved using the picnic table by the pool and the added pool and sand toys were a big hit. The owners of this terrific home are obviously invested in keeping it fresh and inviting. THANK YOU!"
"Sea Gypsy was the perfect vacation home. There was plenty of room for the family to gather in the living room / kitchen and dining area. The views of the ocean were amazing. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature for swimming on hot summer days."

"The kitchen had everything that a family could possibly need! The home is well appointed, bright, and comfortable. The pool area is large so that kids have plenty of room to play and roam. Our family of 12 had plenty of space and enjoyed our week tremendously!"

"I loved the wide steps going up to the top level. I love how easy it was to go to the beach on the private walkway. I loved the huge shower in the master but I also love baths and there was not a tub in the master suite. I loved the huge kitchen which was well supplied and organized. I did not like the small television's in each bedroom and the master."
"Sea Gypsy is a well-maintained home whose owners obviously care about the guests that stay there. The decor was simple, but lovely with sweet touches right down to drawer pulls, hand decorated wall designs and coasters throughout the home. We loved the books to look up shells and sea life! The deck furniture was clean and plentiful. The views were exceptional. It was a great 2 weeks."
"Our family had a wonderful vacation at the Sea Gypsy. It was beautiful, clean, and had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen! We love cooking, so this was greatly appreciated. The kids had a rotation of beach, pool, hot tub, repeat, and we were all outside from sunrise to stars out. Such a great time, thank you for sharing your home with us. "We enjoyed the home so much. The views from the living room were by far the best we have ever experienced in previous homes. There are a few things that need attention; the ice maker does not work, the freezer did not freeze entirely even after we adjusted the temperature, the pots and pans (although good quality) have been abused to the point that they need to be replaced. The kitchen sink faucet fell off completely while we were there but Twiddy and the home owner reacted quickly and it was replaced. Probably an issue at all houses but those bugs are awful. I realize it's probably impossible to stay on top of them but the build home around the doors was extremely thick as though they have not been removed in a very long time. There were two exterior doors that were not able to be used because they were to thick. The pool deck was also full of them. There was a pressure washer in the garage that perhaps should be used. The home is spectacular and we would certainly return. Just a few suggestions."
Thank you for the 5 star rating Carol. We will continue to upgrade as you suggested. We were disappointed that our pots and pans seem to have been abused since we were last at our home in the spring. Yes, the midges are terrible this year and we hate them too. The house was repainted in April, pool deck resurfaced and windows washed in May. We had no idea that the bug problem even existed and spent much of our first few days cleaning up only to have the midges reappear the next evening. Keeping

"We had an incredible two week vacation. Everything was great - and we were surprised by all of the extra's - bikes to ride, 2 - kayaks and all the gear, beach gear - tent and canopy, baby supplies - high chair and folding bed. Also, we were able to utilize the plentiful dishes, pots and pans, etc... What a great place. On the Twiddy side, towels supplied were low in quantity and very thin. Awesome place!"

"A beautiful house and location! Sea Gypsy has the best views we've experienced at the OBX, with almost floor to ceiling windows and plenty of them. The large pool get's late afternoon sun, which is unusual for an ocean front house. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms fit our 4 families perfectly. Hoping to share this house again in 2021 with our kids and grandkids, minus the pandemic of course!"
