"The views of both the ocean and the sound were amazing - both sunrise and sunset. The house was extremely clean. It has a nice large pool, an elevator and a private walkway to the beach. It has 2 stoves, ovens, dishwashers in the kitchen with an icemaker. 2 washers and dryers. All in all, a great house"

"This was our third time staying in Play Hard, Dream Big. We've been coming to the Outer Banks since the late 90's, and this is by far the best home we've stayed in. The views of the ocean and the sound are phenomenal. The home is well kept, well supplied, and very comfortable. It's obvious that the owners take pride in providing a quality rental, and we're already looking forward to coming back next year!"

"Another great stay and Play Hard, Dream Big! I write a review last time we stayed so here are a few more things about the house: You can’t beat the location. The front and back views are both amazing. The house had a few updates from last time. (Painted kitchen cabinets, new stairs to the beach). This house has great water pressure on every floor. That hasn’t been the case in other houses we’ve rented. This house has a great selection of puzzles and games. There are plenty of dishes for a crowd. We used the TV’s more this time and they were working fine. The surround sound on the top floor was nice. It is a great beach house! My family from out west fell in love and booked a week for next year before they flew out. Thank you Twiddy and owner!"

"We loved everything about the home! Unfortunately, the stairs to the beach got ripped off by the storm on the Monday of our stay and we did not have stairs all week. The maintenance crew was quick to show up, assess the damage and started building a new set before we left. Was it inconvenient for us? Yes it sure was, but these things happen and we understand that. Great group of people involved with this home!! We loved how cozy the home was, we loved the dining table and chairs! We got to see the dolphins swim by! The kids loved playing hide and seek in the home, the game lounge was a great space to have for our down time. This home is located in the middle of things to do in both directions. We did many of the puzzles that we found in the home. Crabbing at night was so much fun, our neighbors let us use their stairs to access the beach."

"We had a lovely time. The beach home was magnificent. Excellent ocean views and sound views. The kitchen was fully equipped with cookware, utensils, small appliances, two dishwashers, two stoves, and huge fridge! Three swivel rockers were in front of the huge windows that were very clean, we enjoyed the views! All beds were very comfortable. Hot Tub and pool were great. Twiddy representatives were so nice to deal with when the AC had a hiccup. The owners addressed the AC issue immediately. Double washer and dryer were perfect. Elevator was a huge help with suitcases, groceries. Pool table was a hit. We definitely took care of the home as if it was our own home. This is the best beach home we have stayed at!"

"This home is just plain incredible!! Our family had an incredible week at this home! The elevator was a big plus!! I was so amazed at the kitchen! 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, the ice machine, huge refrigerator, and freezer!! Plenty of serving dishes, utensils, everything you would need!! We were amazed that we were able to use the pool as the weather was amazing and warmed up enough to use it! Each room has its own flat screen TV and private bathroom, wow another treat! The view was phenomenal both oceanside and bayside. Saw wonderful sunrises and sunsets! The porpoises can by each day around 9:15 am. Beds were very comfortable and each room had a fan. The walk from the house to the bed was also wonderful. Nice platform at top of the steps with a great view. The upper and lower shower when returning to the home from the beach really helped keep the sand out of the house! The grill worked great and we accessed the many puzzles and games during the week! Of course the pool table and foosball table was enjoyed by the guys!We will most definitely stay here again. This was our 6th rental in Corolla and by far the best home we have stayed at. Thank you to the owners for providing such a lovely home for our family vacation!!"

"This home had the most incredible views out both sides! Expansive ocean views out the back and incredible sound/marsh views out the front. Just stunning! Very comfortable living space too. We especially loved the swivel/rocking chairs in front of the picture window. Wish there was a bit more deck space-not enough chairs or space for all of us to hang out on the top floor deck, and no outdoor table large enough for an outdoor meal for more than six people. The kitchen was great with two cooktops/ovens, two sinks, and two dishwashers, however the pots and pans have seen better days."

"We had a wonderful vacation in Play Hard, Dream Big! When I was deciding which house to rent I had narrowed it down to 21 homes. Honestly I picked this home because from the photos it looked like it had the best views from both the first and second floors of the house, it was in the part of Pine Island with only one row of houses, and I was captivated by the awesome swivel chairs in the window. It did not disappoint! The views of both the ocean and the sound were spectacular. We saw dolphins every single day of our trip. We had stunning sun rises and sunsets every day. (I was up for the sunrise every morning, and we watch the sunset as we ate dinner every night.) The views of the ocean and the sound were stunning! Oh, and the swivel chairs rock and they are very comfortable. A few more quick highlights: -Some of the furniture and a couple of the bathrooms had been updated since the pictures. -The beds were comfortable. -The ice maker in the kitchen was great. -The foot wash on the beach walkway, the elevator, and the game selection, were more nice features. -The pool was a nice size. The only con would be that there were a lot of remotes and we were never really sure which one worked for what. We didn't spend a lot of time trying to figure it out though. We just plugged in our computer to the tv and watched Netflix or Prime from there. We didn't use the tv's much. Our overall feel for the house was that it was well stocked and, in a nutshell, a very comfortable beach home. A special thank you to the owner for thinking of lots of little things to make it that way! We will be renting again!"

"Pro's - Great view of sound side; great pool for younger kids; well maintained; well appointed; the built in, dedicated ice maker in kitchen is a great plus! Con's - kitchen is a little cramped; A little scary to have carpet under the large dining table, with young children and their potential for spilling things!; mid-level common area was less used since it doesn't have a door to block sound into surrounding bedrooms; some of us thought the chaises around the pool were too hard/uncomfortable (BUT the chaises, chairs & tables are all high quality) Temporary concern? - I am writing this for a visit ending 6/14/20. The Sub-Zero dedicated freezer isn't working and the replacement has been on order since earlier in May; although there is a very nice side-by-side in first level, it's just inconvenient to go down two levels to retrieve anything frozen. You won't be disappointed! (We have rented a variety of similar homes for six years, this house is one of the best, overall.)"
