"This house was wonderful, one of the best ones we've stayed in over the years!! Loved the proximity and private boardwalk access to the beach enabling us (older family members) the ability to carry our own chairs, towels, and other beach items with few struggles. The house layout was excellent: our two daughters and their families had their own private spaces and my sister, my husband and I to had our own private spaces. The social areas -living rooms, game rooms, and dining areas were great. Adults had their own eating area and kids their own areas to dine and to play. We loved the pool, outdoor toilet and shower - everything was perfect for our vacation needs. Kitchen was well equipped, and could probably be slimmed down a bit (more knives that will ever be used in a week, many of which were not very sharp) and variety of pots and pans. Just a few "glitches" needed attention: a board on the boardwalk was warped and part of it popped up about 5 inches and needs to be nailed down so as not to trip anyone. The deadbolt lock on the door leading to the pool on the second floor would not lock (although the lock on the door knob did work). The cleaners came very early on Saturday as we were finalizing packing (about 7:30 am. They told us they were there to begin cleaning.) They questioned the check-out time and implied that we were supposed to out by 8 am. We told them that check out was 10am and showed them the information on the app before they finally left. We would love to come back to this house next year if our schedules coincide."

"Great location in Corolla. We really enjoyed having a direct walkway to the beach. Made it much easier with our dog. Views were great from the top floor. House was appointed well. Quick drive to shopping in Timbuck II or Duck."

"Well stocked kitchen. Stovetop control labels have been scrubbed off so it was hard to tell what knob controlled what burner or how to adjust temperature. Everything but the fireplace seemed to be in good working condition."

Because the decking was fully enclosed we could let the dogs out to enjoy the sunshine without worrying they might “escape”. The extra beach chairs, pool noodles, rafts, etc. in the rooms under the house were great!"

"The set-up is perfect with 2 bedrooms upstairs and the others on the 2nd level with its own lounge area. The pool isn't large, but is sufficient for floating lazily with the grandkids. The screen porch is a real PLUS."

"We have been renting the same home for 8 years. We love the home and the fact the homeowner is always doing upgrades. We love if he would install a heater for the pool and the stairs going to the beach are covered with sand. There I believe is 8 stairs. Would hate if he would have to replace the stairs."

Plenty of parking in quiet neighborhood, closely situated to grocery store and others. Shower in Level 3 East MBR and bed were great! Kitchen adequately stocked with dishes, utensils...Twiddy very responsive to service requests made!!! We stayed in Twiddy home "Dolphin Shores" summer of 2021 which has exact layout as this house only this one had direct beach access from home."

"We stayed at A Shore Thing, The location of this house was great. It’s close to everything we needed. Restaurants, grocery stores, bars, mini golf. Access to the beach was great especially with small children. Like a few reviews before ours, we agree that the rooms were small. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, games and movies. For this house being pet friendly, it was clean. It could have been cleaner. But we understand that it’s a beach home and is rented 85% of the year. Overall we would recommend this house."

"We stayed at "A Shore Thing" the last week in September 2021. Our stay was everything we hoped for and more. The views from the house were amazing. The house was equipped with everything we could have needed. The location was perfect. There were things to do nearby, but if we wanted to just chill at the house there were activities there if we wanted. Our trip was relaxing and enjoyable. I only wish we could have stayed longer."

"This house was wonderful with the private deck access walking out straight to the beach. The pool, hot tub and view of the ocean is what you pay for! The house was fine. Kitchen was well equipped. Rooms are extremely small. But, the house was clean and nothing fancy. It would be nice if Twiddy made sure houses are ready at 4pm check in. After driving a long way, we hated having to wait until 430 for the crew to finish. Also, walking in to a running dishwasher of dishes was kind of gross. Other than that, we would recommend!"

"We really loved this home! It was right on the beach with a private walkway, very clean, great layout. The pool deck and pool were wonderful. We didn't want to leave! The only thing that was missing was the water to the outdoor showers and foot bath coming back from the beach."

"We had an amazing time at this house. The ocean views from the top floor were stunning. The beach at this location was also perfect. The layout of this house was perfect for what we needed. In the future, it would be great for a couple of families going together because the bedrooms are grouped together so that there is a doorway leading to 2 bedrooms together so you can have some private space. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future!"

"This has been my second year staying at a Shore Thing. I am absolutely in love with this house. The elevator and the easy access to the beach are wonderful. So many rooms and always super clean. Every morning you get to wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the ocean and every evening a sunset on the bay. The area is so quiet and tranquil, yet so close to any amenities you would need! Thank you so much for a great relaxing vacation! i can’t wait to come back next year!! :) ALSO, Thank you for being pet friendly! I wouldn’t be able to vacation without my doggie!"

"A Shore Thing is a great oceanfront home. Our favorite part is the pool is on the middle level, which makes it an easy walk to the beach on the same level. We put the kids on the middle level, so grabbing them from naps while sitting at the pool is easy! We love the elevator too. - just load up supplies and send them up to the kitchen. The kitchen is well supplied...with bigger pots, appliances, etc in the closet by elevator. Plenty of parking and a carport area to just back in and unload if raining. Easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, Duck Donuts, sub shops, shopping, mini golf, ice cream etc. House has 1 king master and 1 queen master on top floor, and also a king and queen master on middle floor...all with their own bathrooms. Then two other rooms, 1 with 2 twins and 1 with bunk beds...lots of room:). This is our second year renting this unit and we have been very happy with it."

"We had a wonderful week at this Beach House. There was plenty of room for spreading out and mingling of multiple age groups. The kitchen was fully stocked with every cooking pot, pan and serving dish anyone could want. A suggestion would be to have a notebook with instructions on how to find switches and directions for lights, TVs, Hot Tub and music speakers. We found them all just before leaving, but it would have been helpful to find them earlier in the week."
