Enjoy OBX vacation bliss at “Carolina Cottage”. Nestled in the Ocean Hill community of Corolla, this home offers stunning lighthouse and ocean views. Carolina Cottage is just five houses from the beach, less than 500 feet, so you will quickly be at the beach to enjoy serene stretches of sand and take a dip in the ocean. This cozy cottage includes access to the Villages at Ocean Hill community pools. You’ll love strolling through Historic Corolla Village as it is just a quick mile walk, bike ride or drive away.
The third floor features a great room, full of coastal charm and comfortable furnishing for relaxation. The fireplace is perfect for the cooler months while curling up with a beach read. Adjacent, the kitchen is equipped for preparing your favorite meals during your stay. The dining area is perfect for gathering for meals or solving a puzzle. Step outside and take in the warm salty breezes on the sundeck. The ample deck space is designed for blissful mornings and unwinding after a relaxing day at the beach.
The second floor features three master bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and deck access. There is an additional bedroom and a full bathroom. Take a rejuvenating soak in the hot tub on the deck before heading to bed.
The first floor features a laundry area and a private pool oasis. Splash in the pool or soak in the sun rays on the outdoor furnishings. Utilize the outside shower to wash the sand away. When you want a tasty snack, the outdoor kitchen and bar are ready for you to add your favorites.

"This was our fourth year in Carolina Cottage, and we had such a wonderful time! We loved the addition of the outside barbecue area and the gate at the top entrance to the upper deck was so appreciated with our dog and toddler granddaughter! I’m putting in my reservation for next year later today!"

"Carolina Cottage is fantastic! It's close to the beach, stocked with lots of kitchen amenities and the backyard/pool area is perfect for family fun. There are so many decks for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. Our only challenge was getting from the kitchen to back patio with arms full of food and table settings. This is probably our favorite Corolla house we've stayed at so far."

"Just the right size for our family, pet friendly, lovely pool, great dining area too. So, so clean, didn’t pull out my Lysol once! This is the 4th time we’ve stayed at this home, and it just keeps getting better! And, within minutes walking to the ocean, (which you can hear the ocean waves & view from the top livingroom/deck area), Corrituck Lighthouse, Corolla Pizza & a new adorable coffee/latte outdoor Camper Shop @Banana Dog, Americanos & Chia Lattas were delicious too! We had gorgeous weather too this past week. Thank you Twiddy for your exceptional customer service & care. We will see you again!"

The house was in the perfect location to the beach and the backyard was amazing!! The pool was our favorite part. We will definitely be back! "Love the! Pet area under house. I have small dogs that go out frequently it saved me from walking my dogs in bad weather. Love the gas stove. It is actually my third time renting this house. I rented before the new owners and what a difference the new owners made."

"The house was clean upon arrival. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, silverware and cookware. Nice view of the ocean from top deck. Beds were comfortable and all the bathrooms had new shower curtains. Very good weather for mid November. Have always enjoyed working with Twiddy and they don’t charge extra for your 4 legged family members!"

"This is a really nice, tidy and well cared for home. You can tell the owners are making changes/additions. The pet area is great, easy to keep clean. Same with the outdoor shower area - wonderful. The pool and surrounding area is amazing. The cabana is a nice addition and I'm sure it will be even better once completed. By far the best we've stayed at in 15 years on the OBX"

"We enjoyed our stay at Carolina Cottage! It is beautifully decorated and updated. Feels like a brand new home! Beds are extremely comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked. This pet friendly home is so clean. We LOVED the pool area and hot tub that was under a deck. Ocean views from the top deck were a wonderful treat. Ocean Hill is a quiet location to spend a beach vacation. We look forward to returning to Carolina Cottage. "We had a great time in this home. The only problem we encountered was my son-in-law and daughter had to do a few work things on their laptops and were not able to do so with the wifi in the house. They had to use their hotspots to complete their work."

Sorry to hear about the wifi issue, we recently had Spectrum upgrade our router and modem and we all work from the beach often so not sure what the issue was. Were you able to sign in or not even access the wifi? We have had trouble when multiple people are trying to simultaneously use video conferencing, we may need to get a second router/modem if this continues. Thanks again for letting us know. "Great house! Tastefully decorated and comfortable. Outside areas were great and immaculately clean. Very well stocked kitchen. House could be cleaner; some painting inside would be useful; bathrooms could use updating. Short walk to the beach and short bike ride to Corolla Light and Lighthouse area. Would stay in this house again."

We update at least one major project a year, we'll add the bathrooms to the future, we are doing new HVACS this fall and some outdoor, covered area in early 2022. Would love to know more about it being cleaner, not sure if this is a reflection on Twiddy or if you just think it needs a paint job. Again, appreciate the feedback and hope you will consider renting with us again.
