Prepare for a memorable vacation at the charming “Hay Horse” in Corolla! Situated on a large lot in Corolla Village, this home offers a sense of privacy and convenience, as the beach is just a short walk away. The home's design pays homage to the traditional Outer Banks cottages of yesteryear while providing modern conveniences, desirable amenities, and ample space for the entire family.
The home’s main living area can be found on the second level. The great room is open and spacious, the perfect place for the entire family to gather. Kick back and relax in the comfortably furnished living area and plan your day outside or wind down your day watching TV. Upstairs, you’ll find the den, a perfect place to curl up with a good book or play a board game. The den offers access to a sun deck. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with all that you need to prepare meals throughout your stay. Gather the family to eat together in the dining area or dine outside on the generously sized screened porch, which includes two outdoor dining tables. There is one ensuite bedroom on the second floor, which includes a private bathroom. Two additional bedrooms share a full bathroom, and each has deck access. A half bathroom completes the second level of the home.
On the ground floor, you’ll find four ensuite bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Everyone will want to hang out in the rec room in the evenings. Play foosball or take your friendly competition to the pool table. There is a table and chairs, perfect for playing a hand of cards or putting together a puzzle. For those in your group who just want to chill, a living area with a TV is also included in the rec room. Snacks and cold drinks can be readily available in the wet bar, including a full-size refrigerator and a microwave. Laundry facilities are included on the ground floor. There is a full cabana bathroom that opens to the pool area as well as the rec room.
Outside, the tranquil backyard sanctuary awaits. Take a dip in the refreshing private pool or simply unwind around the poolside. There are various seating options, from hammocks to rockers to lounge chairs. When you need a break from the full sun, head over to the poolside cabana, which is equipped with a beverage refrigerator. Two dining tables and barstool seating are also available under the pergola, and the grills are located nearby, allowing you to cook and enjoy meals outside in the pool area. When you’re ready to go to the beach, the community walkway is at the end of the street, just a few homes away. Take a short stroll the opposite direction to explore quaint Corolla Village, including Whalehead at Currituck Heritage Park and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. The little ones in your group will love the playground at Historic Corolla Park, which celebrates the area with themed equipment and includes a large goose play structure. Stop by Corolla Beer Garden for a beverage, shop at Island Bookstore, or have lunch at Corolla BBQ before returning to your vacation home. “Hay Horse” is the perfect Outer Banks hideaway for your next memorable family vacation!
