“Southern Comfort I” invites you to a memorable Outer Banks getaway! Nestled in the gated Buck Island community, this home offers both comfort and convenience. Just a short walk to the center of Corolla, you’ll be steps from shopping at Timbuck II, Monterey Plaza, casual dining, local boutiques, and more.
Inside, you’ll find inviting common spaces built for connection and fun. On the top floor, the great room offers a spacious layout, perfect for gathering with family. The living area features comfortable furnishings and a cozy gas fireplace, perfect for family movie nights or lazy afternoons with a book. The spacious and fully equipped kitchen boasts granite countertops, two dishwashers, and ample counter space, ideal for cooking up a casual breakfast or enjoying evening dinners at the dining table. The home’s elevator assists with getting groceries up to the kitchen on the third floor. When you want to unwind, head up a short flight of stairs to the loft, which includes a bar and a wine cooler. In the evenings, challenge everyone to a game of pool in the rec room on the ground floor. Stock snacks and drinks in the nearby kitchenette, which includes a refrigerator and a microwave.
Choose to sit in the sunshine or relax in the shade as the home offers a sun deck on the top floor and a wrap-around covered deck on the second level. Both decks overlook the pool area. Bask in the sunshine around the pool and take a dip when you’re ready to cool off. The hot tub is ready and waiting when you’re ready for a relaxing soak.
The bedrooms are thoughtfully spaced across three floors, giving everyone space and privacy. The top‑floor ensuite features a whirlpool tub in the private bathroom, as well as deck access. On the middle level, you’ll find four ensuite bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and access to the deck. There is also a private den with a private bathroom and deck access on the second floor. On the ground floor, there are two additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
When you’re ready to explore beyond the home, Corolla offers plenty of easy‑to‑reach attractions. Stroll to dining, grocery shopping, and the local favorite, Timbuck II Shopping Village. Bring your bike or walk the neighborhood’s quiet paths, with access to community amenities, such as tennis and pickleball courts, an Olympic‑size pool, a basketball court, and a playground. The Buck Island beach access is just minutes away, so you can hit the sand for sunrises, beachcombing, or afternoon ocean swims in no time.
