After basking in the sun and playing in the waves all day, cozy up with a good book on the wraparound decks or in front of the gas fireplace. You can swim a few laps in the private pool and enjoy cocktails in the loft bar area while watching the sunset. After dinner, take a walk on the beach or just soak away your cares in the hot tub. "This was our second stay at Southern Comfort 1 and we just loved it! It’s not the newest home but it is definitely the most comfortable one when you are staying with kids. Its proximity to the Community Pool, tennis , the walking /bike path, Food Lion and Tim Buck Two can’t be beat. The golf cart is great for transporting everyone to the beach with their beach gear. Twiddy was very prompt in answering and correcting our concerns. They are always helpful. We can’t wait to return next summer !."

"We love the use of the golf cart for transporting beach paraphernalia to and from the beach. The pool area is a nice benefit when everyone has had enough beach. Setting up my computer in the little wine bar area in nice when I have to make an impromptu conference call."
"The location of Southern Comfort I was perfect! We were about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach which I wasn't sure I'd like, but it was a very pleasant walk through a beautiful community. We were SO close to Food Lion, TimbuckII, Mini-Golf, Community tennis/pickleball and pool. The only time we used our cars all week was to climb the lighthouse!"

"The location of the home was awesome it was in the middle of everything. The golf cart was a plus but sadly just bad timing to get a flat tire with 3 1/2 days of our vacation still left and it could not be repaired during that time. The layout of the house was very nice. We Just wish the pool would’ve had a heating option because the weather never got above 63°. And very windy. Our grandkids gave it a whirl, but sadly just too cold to actually enjoy it. But we greatly enjoyed the hot tub with the weather that mother nature through our way."

"Our family and friends have been renting Southern Comfort every year since 2008. The house is well maintained. The house is located close to shopping of all types. Our car rarely leaves the driveway as we can walk to all sorts of activities."
"We love Buck Island and thoroughly enjoyed Southern Comfort 1 too! This vacations house is very close to the amenities of Buck Island, the tennis courts and community pool are practically in your front yard. The proximity of the house to Food Lion and Tim Buck 11 made it very convenient for shopping. The golf cart is an added plus, everything you could want is in reach with a flick of a switch. There were just a few minor issues with the house which could be solved with a quick trip to Walmart: more spoons, coffee mugs and perhaps a new butcher block with new knives would be a big plus! Our group of 16 had a wonderful vacation and looks forward to future visits.😎"

The house itself gets maintained at a an adequate level to keep it fresh. Golf cart, elevator to transport luggage up, good size rooms, relatively easy ocean access, gives us what we need for an enjoyable week!"

"This is a great house for teenagers! They loved being just a short walk to lots of places to shop. I really liked being able to watch them play tennis while washing the dishes! They also loved the large community pool. I didn't realize the rental came with a golf cart. That was a fun surprise! The house felt large. The master suite was very comfortable. I was super thankful the kitchen was very well stocked!"
