"The home is a beautiful location on the 4x4 beaches. We stayed last year with adults and again this year with our family of two kids with a total of 4 grandchildren. The kitchen is under stocked with utensils and pots & pans for a family. The pool area is a weird set up. To get to the gate to the pool and changing outdoor showers you have to walk out onto sand and no step to get up to pool area, bringing in a lot of sand. It seems unfinished. A deck walkway to pool gate would be better than walking in sand or putting the gate at bottom of steps would be an option also."

"The house was just great, perfect design and function with some upscale beach design. However, cooking utensils and pots, pans really need to be replaced! Owners need upgrades there and the possibility of adding a second fridge on the first level! When you're at the 4x4 you're not running back and forth for fresh food. More fridge space is a must!"

"This is a gorgeous home! The 4×4 beach is an experience unlike other beaches. We loved the slower pace. We watched dolphins swim by daily and saw the horses multiple times! The house is beautiful and fit our large family perfectly!"

"Words can not do justice describing this home or the location. We have been vacationing in the outer banks for over 25 years and have been in the 4x4 section off season for the past several and there is no other location beach wise we would rather be. This homes appointments are top notch. The high end large pool table are surprising and unusual to see in a rental. The hot tub was amazing and beds the most comfortable we have ever had staying in a rental. In the bunk room the little hidden fort room was a hit with the kids. The views with sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. You will not be disappointed with the stay."

""Best of Both Worlds" is a great beach front home. 3 of the 5 bedrooms are ocean front with great views of the beach and ocean. Home is still fresh and new so kitchen is well equipped and ready to serve the group. Beach access is easy either over the dune or road leading home. My wife, four legged kids and I had a great week with fabulous weather. Ensure you have a 4x4 that can handle the drive during high tide or time your drive accordingly. Suggestions: 2nd fridge, different outdoor furniture in screened in porch (cushions are already worn), padding for feet of dining room chairs (scratching hardwood), hoses at all spigots to rinse off sand prior to entering house and for cleaning bugs off windows."

"This home was just built so it was extremely clean, updated and gorgeous overall. The location and view absolutely provided the "best of both worlds". We will definitely consider this home in the future! Twiddy was also great to work with, they were very responsive and polite. One thing to note- Being a new home the construction materials leftover seemed to be buried under the sand- some not so much. Be careful walking around outside for nails, wood debris etc. We were disheartened to see the previous renters dogs had scarred up the master bedroom door and tore the screen on the porch. I do hope they were charged for it as this home was brand new- shame on them."
