"Sea What Happens is a beautiful home with a view that never gets old! The owner(s) have decorated the main floor tastefully by keeping a beach theme without going over the top tacky. The kitchen is bright, gorgeous, large, and functional for a bigger group. I do feel as though the cookware and bakeware could be updated and some additional pieces added, but I love to cook and probably need more than the average vacationer LOL. Bedrooms are comfortable and a nice place for a person to escape for some quiet time on a rainy day. For those who may wonder, there are televisions in all bedrooms except the bunk rooms. However, the television in the lower level king does not have a Dish Network box and the Dish Network box in the game room did not work (a Twiddy rep said a new box is needed), luckily I had brought a Firestick and we hooked it up to the tv in the game room. The wi-fi can be hit or miss, so if streaming, it may buffer quite a bit. The well water was NOT a problem in this home. It was sufficiently hot and the pressure was good (only the kitchen faucet was a bit weak). The outdoor deck furniture is comfortable and plentiful. The swimming pool and hot tub was used constantly, was well maintained, and had nice lounge chairs all around. The wooden walkway to the beach was one of the best we have had at a rental. This is a pet friendly home (we do not have indoor pets) and I was concerned that there may be an odor or the furniture could have pet hair, but this was not a problem. The furniture was comfortable and in great shape, there was no odor or pet hair from previous pets who shared the home. We rented at the end of the season and the although the home is ready for a deep cleaning it was still nicely kept and maintained. We did need some replacement lightbulbs and remote control batteries and in normal Twiddy fashion, they had them brought to us quickly. I will NEVER rent a home from anyone else in the 4x4 area accept Twiddy. Their service and response to a renter’s needs is unmatched. I have used them for several trips and have never been disappointed. Our group loved this home and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you to the owner(s) for sharing your home with us."
"It’s a great house and views. Several wild horses were grazing on the property. We enjoyed our first visit to OBX!! Walk or drive off the beach and jump in the pool and hot tub. The outside of the house and decks need a new coat of paint and the sliding glass doors are extremely difficult to open and close."
"We enjoyed our stay at “Sea What Happens”. The reason for the 4 star review is that the home was mostly clean upon arrival, however there was a large amount of pet hair and also food and toys under the couches. We did have a problem with the air conditioning, that Twiddy worked to resolve, but ended up not functioning properly for the majority of our stay. Could use an update on cookware, all of the pans were in poor shape. Overall, the home was lovely."
