Hello, is the layout of this home that all the bedrooms are on the lower floor and the shared living spaces are On the upper level? We are renting the end of August! So excited but trying to get a better feel of the place.

Hello- we are considering renting this property end of May- first week of June. We have never stayed this far North before...typically we stay in Hatteras. Are there any grocery stores/gas stations close once you get to the home?

We would love the opportunity to host your next Outer Banks vacation, Stacey! This particular home is approximately 25 minutes up the beach passed the paved road. Once you hit the paved road, there is a gas station within 1 mile and there are two grocery stores that are approximately 5-10 minutes away. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

We have an all-wheel drive SUV will that be o.k. also or only a 4x4 is suggested . What is the average temp. in first 2 weeks of June? It also says this property is almost an 8 mile drive in the sand .How long does that take ?

- How many miles from the end of HWY 12 to the house? - Is a standard SUV rental sufficient to make it to this home? - Are beach towells provided? - where do we have to go to to take a surfing lesson or go horseback riding?

Shannon, V12061 is located approximately 7.6 miles north of the 4x4 entrance ramp. We only recommend 4-wheen drive vehicles for accessing homes in the 4x4 area. Beach towels are not supplied. 1. are small sun shades allowed on your beach for children to play under out of the sun? 2. If I bring a tv (for the kids) is there a cable hookup that could be used in a bedroom even tho there might not be a TV in it?

Becky, you are welcome to use a small sun shade on the beach. Please note personal items are not permitted to be left on the beach overnight. We would not recommend bringing a TV with you. Unfortunately, the television would not work without being connected to a digital box.

Do all of the master bedrooms have private baths? I see one of the bathrooms is 'semi-private' - is it shared among two bedrooms? Also, in the amenities list, it looks as though towels and sheets are provided. Is that correct? Thank you!

Thank you for your inquiry, Karen! Yes, a master bedroom has a private bathroom attached. A semi-private bath has two entries; one from a bedroom and one from a hall or another room. Bed linens and bath towels are provided for this particular home.

We we staying at this home in a few weeks. Are there pool and beach toys for the kids including pool floats and 6 beach chairs? And, is the grill gas or charcoal? The pool should be scheduled to be open and heated, right? Thank you.

Answer:

Hello Jennifer! Beach chairs are an advertised amenity and there will be at least 5 waiting for you at the home. Equipment such as pool rafts and beach toys are considered specialty items and not advertised amenities. As a result we do not require owners to provide them nor do we take inventory of what may be in the home upon arrival. Changes in Latitude advertises a charcoal grill and the pool will be available for your stay, but please note this private pool does not have the option to be heated. Dawn, would to welcome you back to the beach in 2014! We are currently in the process of collecting 2014 rates from our homeowners. Typically, rates are available in the fall, late September to early October. As the 2014 rates are received, we are providing them on the website. In the meantime, you can view the comparable 2013 rates online through the current week. You can use these rates as a ballpark estimate for 2014.

Great question Tricia! The dune line is constantly changing; however, there are currently great views of the ocean from the top level of this home!
