Beach Bunny is the fun and relaxing getaway you’ve been looking for! Enjoy the cul-de-sac location just four lots from the ocean, a private pool and hot tub, and easy boardwalk access to the beach (with nearby restrooms and a snack bar in season). If you arrive in an electric vehicle, the Level 2 EV charger in the carport is available for use throughout your stay. And if you want fast internet to stay connected to work, school, or streaming, Beach Bunny has you covered with highspeed WiFi (up to 1 GB). Your dogs are also welcome at this pet-friendly coastal retreat featuring a fenced play area especially for them!
The House: Beach Bunny has been described as “like home, but better.” It combines the comforts and conveniences of home with many extra, enjoyable features and a great oceanside location.
The top level features vaulted ceilings, a wall of windows, and extensive entertainment options. The spacious great room makes it easy to bring your group together, while other spaces provide privacy and quiet. The light-filled sunroom has views of the Currituck Lighthouse and is a perfect place to curl up with a good book, and you can hear and catch a glimpse of the ocean from the sun deck, which offers multiple seating options. The well-stocked kitchen is equipped with all that you need and more to prepare meals throughout your stay, just add groceries. And the open floor plan means that even when you’re cooking or baking, you’re still making memories with friends and family! Enjoy meals at the large dining table, or grab a quick breakfast at the kitchen counter barstools before heading outside into the sunshine.
On the ground floor, the game room has a full-sized refrigerator and microwave for easy access to snacks and drinks, as well as a full bathroom for convenience. A quick step through the back door leads to the hot tub, gated pool area, and fenced dog run. When it’s time for sleep, spread out in five bedrooms, three of which are generously-sized masters with private ensuite bathrooms and their own deck access. Each bedroom has a theme: Mermaid’s Retreat (K), Coral Sunrise (K), Starry Skies (Q), Pirate’s Cove (Double and Twin), and Under the Sea (Bunk Set, Twin).
Recreation and Relaxation: There's something here for every member of the family so your stay can be as active or relaxing as you want! The home’s entertainment system includes smart TVs, a house-wide stereo system, surround sound in the Great Room, and high-speed WiFi for streaming. Enjoy billiards, arcade games, and foosball in the ground floor Game Room. The ship’s watch (with wet bar) offers a game table perfect for board games or puzzles! Readers of all ages can explore shelves of books in the sunroom library. Or head outside to play basketball, outdoor games, and sports.
Take a dip in the refreshing private pool, soak in the hot tub, or lounge in the sunshine. When you’re ready for a break from the sun, the pergola and tiki bar are great places to relax if you want to still be near all of the action in the pool area. A few steps away, you’ll find two grills, ideal for a family barbecue. Enjoy some shade on the second level covered decks with built-in seating as well as a picnic table – a perfect place for lunch. Or sit on the covered front porch, featuring rocking chairs and a bistro set. The top two back decks are enclosed with gates. At night, stargaze at the expansive sky. With the lights off, the dark night sky displays countless stars, and you may have a good view of the Milky Way right from the home’s upper deck.
Beaches: You’re never far away from sun, sand, and surf! The community beach access and oceanfront pool are just a short walk (about 3 minutes, less than 500 feet) down a quiet neighborhood street. Whether you go to watch the sun rise over the ocean, search for seashells, or soak up some rays and splash around, the boardwalk access to the beach offers an easy way to get there! The walkway to the beach is intended for just a small enclave of homes that border an unpopulated nature preserve, so you’ll likely be sharing the sand with fewer people than in areas where access is intended for the general public. And your summer beach time can last as long as you’d like because there are added conveniences such as beachfront restrooms for just the surrounding homes as well as a snack bar serving ice cream and other cold treats! During your walk to and on the beach, be on the lookout for local wildlife, such as frogs, turtles, small lizards, and dolphins. If you want to venture into the 4x4 beaches where the wild horses roam, you’re only a short half-mile drive away.
Nearby Amenities: The Villages at Ocean Hill offers two outdoor community pools, a playground, basketball and volleyball courts, a bike/jogging path, a nature trail, and a stocked (catch and release) fishing lake which is also home to turtles. There’s also a fitness center and tennis/pickleball courts available for a fee, so no one needs to miss their daily workout. Restaurants, shopping, historic landmarks, mini-golf, an adventure park, and Corolla Wild Horse tours are just a bike ride or a short drive away. Practically at your front door begins a trail through a maritime forest where a short, easy hike takes you into habitats of diverse animal and plant life, leading to a scenic lookout over the Currituck Sound.
