Candis R. Richardson Memorial Scholarship

Candis was a valued member of Twiddy & Company’s Guest Services team. She was well known around the company for always having a positive attitude. Her career at Twiddy began in the midst of Tropical Storm Ernesto. Although the storm was not forecast to have much of an impact on the Outer Banks, it packed a punch, flooding our area with about a foot of rain. Candis’ friendly demeanor and ability to remain calm helped put our frantic guests at ease during a stressful situation. 

Sharon C. Ryan Memorial Scholarship

A longtime member of Twiddy & Company’s Maintenance team, Sharon was well-known to locals throughout the Outer Banks. Her role in coordinating Twiddy’s in-house Maintenance team as well as local vendors for 19+ years allowed her to get to know many OBX locals and their families. Sharon’s excellent work ethic and loyal friendship to many made her an essential member of the Twiddy team. 

The Sharon C. Ryan Memorial Scholarship is awarded twice per year, and the recipients are chosen by a group of Twiddy employees. We truly appreciate all that apply for this scholarship, and we enjoy learning about each applicant and reading their personal story.
