Historic Corolla Village

This off-the-beaten-path section of town, which is really Corolla proper, was the original town center in the days of old Corolla. Today, you see remnants of old Corolla by walking down the dirt roads north of the lighthouse. New stores have been built here as well, but in an old style that gives visitors the feeling of how things looked in old Corolla.

Lighthouse Shop

This is the single Light Keepers' House, which now functions as a Museum Shop.

Currituck Beach Lighthouse

The Currituck Beach Lighthouse at Corolla is the only lighthouse in North Carolina that is still housed in its original structure. Climb the 200+ steps to the top for a spectacular view of the Atlantic Coast and the Currituck Sound.

Public Rest Area and Parking

Rest area and parking is located in Heritage Park for convenient walk over to the lighthouse as well as other attractions within the park area.
