Kim Endre, a native of Chicago, moved to the Outer Banks over 27 years ago, when her heart led her to the beautiful beaches of the Outer Banks. Her life-long career has been in the building industry with a specialization in real estate sales for the past 16 years. Kim was voted REALTOR® of the Year in 2011 by her peers, after having served on numerous committees, as well as on the Board of Directors, for the Outer Banks Association of Realtors. In 2016, she received the Association's prestigious President’s Award for excellence in her field. I am a huge fan of Kim Endre and her team. When we decided to buy a beach cottage, we started off as the worst customers ever. We had not narrowed down the town in which we wanted to buy, had a broad price range, and kept changing our mind on characteristics of the perfect house. Thankfully, we got much better, and this was absolutely due to Kim - her patience, her knowledge, and her expertise. Kim listened carefully to us, but also interpreted what we were not saying. She learned from our feedback, and was able to prevent us all from wasting valuable time on homes that would not work for us. She researched prior rents, and previewed homes before we came to visit. She spoke to listing agents, builders, and to others knowledgeable about the homes. Both Kim and her contractor husband were invaluable resources as we evaluated homes which needed renovations or repairs. One standout characteristic was that I never felt pressured or rushed to make a selection. Kim made it clear she wanted us to find the RIGHT house, not just the fastest house. She gently guided us away from options which would not have been a good fit for us, even though in doing so, she delayed her own commission. Finally, when we had made a selection and tendered an offer, Kim led us through the inspection, insurance and closing process with ease and warmth. It was a stressful time for us - as out of state buyers, the process was different than what we had experienced before, and we were grateful to know everything was happening under her watchful eye. We felt as though she knew not only every part of the process, but every professional in town (multiple insurance agents, inspectors and appraisers.) It is rare that I give anyone an unequivocal "two thumbs up," but Kim makes me wish I had more than two thumbs to give. I have no doubts that I will engage her again both when I sell this house, and/or buy another. |

I had to reach out to Kim multiple times with home inspector issues, finding a new bank to finance our purchase, and just her advice on the home. Through it all, she was amazing.
