Experience a classic oceanfront vacation at this beautiful, well-appointed retreat! Situated at the end of a quiet street, peace and relaxation are on the agenda at “Gift from the Sea”. While this home has a classic and familiar feel, its furnishings and decor are anything but typical. In addition to countless new and thoughtful touches throughout, you’ll find recent modern updates including new appliances, decor, and remodeled bathroom and kitchen areas. A convenient elevator makes unpacking and settling in a breeze. As an added bonus, the home boasts a central location in Southern Shores, allowing guests to easily access restaurants, shops, and attractions in both Duck and Kitty Hawk.
On the exterior, the spacious deck has plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the home’s serene location and salty ocean breezes. Guests with low mobility will appreciate the ramp that leads from the first level to the mid-level deck. Take a stroll out to the private dune deck, where you can relax with the sound of crashing waves and the warmth of the sun on your shoulders. From there, a convenient sand path leads you and your guests to the beach for shell-searching or to dip your toes in the water.
Inside, comfortable furniture invites you to kick back and relax. The main living areas can be found on the mid-level. Preparing meals for the group is anything but a chore in the gorgeous, recently remodeled kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances. The great room, dining room, and den are just steps from the kitchen and allow plenty of space for everyone to gather and enjoy each other’s company. Just off of the common areas lies the screened porch, where guests can enjoy a meal in the shade while taking in views and ocean breezes. A bedroom with two bunk beds and a full hall bath with handicap-friendly features finish off the mid-level. Downstairs, a garage with ping pong offers an opportunity for friendly competition. The top level consists of a master bedroom with private ensuite bathroom, three additional bedrooms, and a full bathroom in the hall.
Gather your friends and family to experience the endless perks offered by this lovely seaside home. You and your guests are sure to agree that “Gift from the Sea” is the ideal setting to create memories to last a lifetime!

Reviews
"We had a wonderful stay! The house was incredible and right on the beach. We can't wait to go back again!"
"Location! Location! Location! Absolutely LOVED our family vacation at Gift from the Sea in Southern Shores. We woke up and saw the sunrise each and every morning. The views in the home are spectacular and absolutely LOVE the Dune Deck. Excited to come back again year after year. Thank you to Twiddy & Company's awesome hospitality as well!"
"Great house! Great location!"
"While this is marketed as "beachfront", there is no access to the beach. The path from the walkway ends at the top of the dunes, and you aren't permitted to step on the dunes (we were admonished by the beach patrol). Rather, you must walk down to the public access and then walk back up the beach to get to the area in front of the home. The layout of the home itself has some privacy issues. While it says it is five bedrooms, the elevator opens directly into the fifth bedroom on the third floor, thus making anyone who uses the elevator walk through the bedroom to access the rest of the third floor. It should be marketed as a four bedroom plus a den on the third floor. There are some areas that need some rehabbing. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The dining table is uncomfortable for those without extremely long legs (the member of our party that was 6'4" was comfortable. Those under 6'0" were not). The screened in porch poured rain from the ceiling during a storm. With some updating and proper marketing, it would be a nice home. But it is not worth the premium of a beachfront home because there is no access to the beach."
