"Great location!"

"The home was very welcoming and comfortable for our family of 7. We were pleasantly surprised with the updated table and living room furniture."

Susan   ·  Stayed June 2022

"The location of the home is excellent, with ocean views from the decks, and lovely ocean breezes. Beach access is just a couple houses down, and the beach is beautiful. Lots to do nearby, with shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores very conveniently located just a short drive away. Close to the Corolla Lighthouse, and 4 wheel drive beaches, too. I would love to stay here again, and would recommend to anyone who loves a great, beach vacation!"

"We had a wonderful time. The cottage was awesome. Having a pool and being right across from the ocean was great. Can't wait to come back next year."

"There are several great assets at Whalehead Coastwatch: Proximity to the beach, pet friendly, really nice pool, great living space and furniture, top floor mattress is very comfortable. But this house needs: plastic plates and glasses, scissors/kitchen shears, SHARPENED knives, seafood tools, (shell cracker, picks, seafood forks), liquid measuring cup, baking dishes, hot pads/trivets, pool furniture (picnic table is dangerously falling apart), decent grill big enough to cook for a group of 10 (house sleeps 10), new level 2 queen mattress, new 3rd level shades (they're falling apart). This house needs a little more love."

"Location, location, location! This home was located practically right across the street from ocean access (Tuna). I could hear and see the ocean waves from the deck. The home was excellent - clean and well-equipped - with plenty of room for our group of six plus two dogs. There were many local restaurants nearby. There were also many fun activities, like miniature golf, climbing the steps of the Currituck Lighthouse and walking around the grounds afterwards and riding on the beach looking for Spanish Mustangs (we found them!!). There is a Food Lion and Harris Teeter nearby and many shops for souvenir shopping and/or simply browsing. This was our first trip to the OBX and it was a sincere pleasure working with Twiddy. They were efficient and responsive each step of the way. We feel so grateful that our first experience with the OBX was so awesome and we can't wait to return!"

"Had a great time like to come back again."

Mark   ·  Stayed July 2020

"Loved the property and Twiddy was very responsive to problems. The only issued was the amount of people on the beach and lack of masks, during this COVID-19 out break."

"Plenty of good things about this about this house. Semi-ocean front, great pool, really nice living space. Things to improve: 1 bathroom for 6 people (Jack and Jill setup between 2 bedrooms, 2 sets of bunks in one bedroom and a queen in the other) and a giant bathroom with a jacuzzi for a bedroom with 2 twin beds. Also, kitchen had nice dinnerware, glassware, and a plethora of silverware ... but not one plastic plate or glass. The frying pans were unusable and there is only one kitchen garbage can with no lid and no kitchen recycling bin. Not great for a pet-friendly beach house."
