Outer Banks Community Foundation

By providing avenues for charitable giving, grants, and local non-profit support, the Community Foundation goes a long way towards making the Outer Banks not only a great place to visit but a great place to live and raise a family. Through the Outer Banks Community Foundation, people who love and appreciate the Outer Banks are able to give something back to the community to help meet the pressing needs of today, while at the same time building a source of support for the future.

Corolla Schoolhouse

Water’s Edge Village School

Grounded in partnerships with children and families, WEVS is a free, K-8, public charter school located in Corolla, NC. Their mission is to provide local education in a rigorous, child-centered learning environment to its isolated coastal community. As Corolla’s infrastructure expands, the school needs more classroom space to accommodate the growing number of families in town! WEVS is currently in the process of raising funds to build an additional schoolhouse to continue supporting their mission.

Fifth Annual Jack Burke Memorial Corolla Community Golf Outing to benefit Corolla Chapel

Corolla Chapel serves the people who visit and/or call Corolla and the northern Outer Banks home by providing a place of worship as well as supporting those in need. Corolla Chapel recently assisted in relief for the families and students affected by the devastating fire in Corolla. Each Christmas, the Chapel helps supply gift cards for groceries and toys for children on the mainland. Additionally, the Chapel helps local students at WEVS by providing additional classroom space, and they assist over 150 International students that work in Corolla during the Summer Season.
