Last updated on December 4th, 2020This week, Thanksgiving 2020 is the start of a holiday season unlike any that we’ve ever seen before. Thanksgiving may be different this year, but we’re thankful for all of the blessings received in 2020. As we begin to reflect on the extraordinary year that it’s been so far, Clark Twiddy shares his thoughts on why Twiddy & Company is grateful this Thanksgiving 2020. Along our Outer Banks shores, 2020 has been a year of humility, resilience, and focus as we’ve worked harder than ever to welcome our traveling guests, retain a trusted partnership with our engaged homeowner community, and support our working family. Like most, we were blind-sighted by the pandemic, and it took us a while to catch up. Throughout the crisis, we’ve stumbled from time to time to ensure our guests and homeowner partners receive the same level of service they’ve rightfully grown to expect from us over these many years. We’ve learned a great deal and will use that knowledge to improve in 2021 and beyond. Despite these challenges, we’re proud to say we also got many things right. Even with our bumps and bruises, we’ve been able to rise to the pandemic challenge while never abandoning the values that anchor our teams and their decision-making. Above all, we remain forever thankful for the guests who trust us with their experiences, the homeowners who trust us with the operation of their homes, and our team who, in their actions, define daily Twiddy and Company as a whole. This crisis, in many ways, has brought unexpected clarity as we are reaffirmed in knowing that the most important thing in our lives remains the people around us. In a year filled with doubt, we’re humbled to have brought hope to many as they plan a gathering of loved ones. “If you treat people like they make a difference, they’ll make a difference.” — Dr. Jim Goodnight, Founder, SAS For our guests–Thank you for your continued trust in our teams to deliver to you an experience that places the safety and happiness of you and your loved ones as our top priority. For our homeowner partners–Thank you for your continued trust as we share a roadmap to sustainable and responsible business success for years to come. Trust is a multiplier in a crisis and our agility as a Company is only a reflection of your partnership. For our team–Mom and Dad couldn’t be more proud that the Company they started in 1978 around an oyster shucking table has become a working home for the skills and passions of so many talented, committed, and capable individuals who embrace a culture that simply gets it right. From our family to yours, we thank you for the chance to keep your trust today and in the years to come, and we look forward to welcoming you and your families again to our shores. Have a safe and peaceful Thanksgiving 2020 holiday.
