Linda Coats, owner of Steamers Seafood in Southern Shores, believes in providing delicious food and a unique experience to anyone who enjoys their restaurant.

Once a small restaurant in Corolla, Steamers is now an expansive, two-floored dining destination with indoor and outdoor seating. Though the business has expanded, Linda and her team’s core beliefs remain the same: “Keep the food fresh and delicious!”

Steamers Restaurant prides itself on the freshest sustainably sourced seafood around. The majority of their seafood is local. Crabs are sourced from our local inlets, and the executive chef stays in constant contact with captains within the Wanchese fishing fleet. The menu is dependent on the seasons, and the specials adapt to blend delectable flavors with today’s catch! Everything in the restaurant is made from scratch daily, and the simple yet refined menu is sure to have something for everyone!

Linda Coats is also credited with creating the New England style clam bake. This exceptional steam pot offering is primarily where the name “Steamers” was derived. The same quality steam pots keep visitors and locals returning to the restaurant year after year!

In addition to delicious food, Linda emplores you to try a cocktail from “Martini Mike,” the restaurant master bartender. The cocktail rotation is phenomenal and, undoubtedly, matches the quality of the food.

Steamers also offer personal chef and catering services year-round. The private table experiences are exceptional and one of the premier personal chef options for Pine Island Reserve homes.  The full-scale catering operation can service events of up to 350 people. Whether a small dinner party, wedding or special event, Steamers will provide excellent service and great food!

Steamers is open year-round from 4 pm to 9 pm. In season, the restaurant is open every day, but they now close on Mondays. Customers have a choice to sit indoors or outdoors with all state COVID-19 guidelines in place. The outdoor areas have space heaters for the cooler evenings in the fall and winter.
