Potential Travel Impacts of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Twiddy & Company’s Statement on the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With each new headline bringing more questions over the impacts of the coronavirus, as your trusted vacation partner we want to be forthcoming and candid in providing you with what we know and what we’re doing to help you and your loved ones assess travel options this season.

Above all, the health, safety, and well-being of our guests and staff remain our top priority.  As a family business that focuses on providing you and your family with the best vacation possible, our on-the-ground leadership team has been continually monitoring both governmental and medical agencies with a commitment to communicating with our homeowners and guests candidly, consistently, and rapidly.

We are reading the same headlines as our guests and as questions arise in your mind around travel options, we’ll work to resolve them in the best way possible.

While much remains uncertain about the longer-term impacts of the virus, our focus today is to help you make the best decisions for your family with the resources, recourses, and relationships that you expected when you chose to stay with Twiddy & Company.

Starting today, you’ll see regular coronavirus videos and blog posts from us that we hope help your family be better informed about the situation locally. These will include interviews with area decision-makers in a variety of roles.

We remain confident in our cleaning measures in our homes, our hygiene practices with our field staff, and working with all guests to make sure the best travel practices are clearly communicated.

Our cleaning staff is well-trained, our cleaning products and in-home processes meet the standards across the industry, and our supply partners are fully engaged and transparent with us.

We are also working with our trusted relationships–our travel insurance partners, our service provider partners, our governmental partners, and our friends in the local medical community to make sure we’re being creative, communicative, and customer-focused in the days and weeks to come.

We can’t promise, at this point, to have a clear answer to every situation, but we do promise to engage fully with our experience, respond quickly with the sum of our resources, and tap each and every relationship we have so that our customers have every last piece of information at their fingertips.

At the local level here on the Outer Banks, we remain a great place to be, and your particular vacation home a great place for you and your family to relax and rejuvenate.

We are also optimistic that the Governor’s emergency declaration this week will be an excellent tool to increase allowances and funding sources to deal with any future concerns across the larger urban population centers of the State.

Thank you for reading and for staying in touch with us as each headline brings a new surprise.

Throughout this challenge, our covenant to you remains unchanged–a great experience and a professional team you can trust no matter the situation.
