“Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.” Ralph Waldo Emerson At Twiddy & Company, the vast majority of our employees are lucky to call the Outer Banks home. We take pride in our local roots and hope that our knowledge of our towns provides a helpful experience for our Guests and Owners. If you talk to anyone living on the Outer Banks, they will tell you that the best time of the year on the beach is in the fall. Things start to quiet down, the weather is ideal for spending time outside, and the Outer Banks somehow continues to get more beautiful. One of our favorite things about living on the Outer Banks is the incredible sunsets we get to witness almost every evening. During a year of uncertainty, our team has consistently reminded each other that it’s the little things in life that mean the most to us. Most of us could pick up our phones and scroll through countless photos of the sun tucking itself away for the night. We have found peace in the idea that there is a sight of beauty at the end of every day. As the sun sets on another day, we feel thankful to live in a unique place. While we are chasing sunsets to find the perfect place to see the show, we wanted to share some of our favorites from this fall from the perspective of our team. Some of us walk outside onto our deck to see these iconic sunsets, some of us walk down the street on Bay Drive to take in the view. We might take a trip to the Duck Waterfront or the Whalehead in Corolla to catch a glimpse of the best show on earth. With the Holiday Season in full swing, here at Twiddy, we are doing our best to remember the small things, and are staying connected with nature and the beauty all around us. That is by far the greatest gift of all. From our Twiddy family to yours, Happy Holidays! We know our Guests and Owners love the Outer Banks just as much as we do.
