Twiddy & Company is pleased to offer guests the option of placing an Advance Property Hold on a vacation home for 2017.
Current-year guests are given the first opportunity to request the same home and time frame for 2017. The same home and time frame will be held for 2016 guests until 5:00 pm on the Monday following their departure.
The fee for an Advance Property Hold is currently $50.00. This fee is non-refundable and is not applied to the rental fee, but holds the home off the market until the lease is sent in the Fall. At that time, the initial payment is required to confirm the reservation.
Select homes have a fee higher than $50.00. This higher Advance Property Hold fee is listed the home's description. This fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and holds the home off the market until the lease is sent. At that time, the initial payment is required to confirm the reservation. A portion of the Advance Property Hold fee over $50.00 is applied to the rental fee. Please contact our office for more details.
Advance Property Holds are not reservations, but tentative holds that are subject to the following conditions: 1) the availability of the home in Twiddy's rental program; 2) the reserved dates being available; 3) the execution of a lease, including the receipt of all applicable rents and fees, etc. In the event that either the home is not in Twiddy's rental program or if the reserved dates are not available, Your Advance Property Hold fee will be refunded. In any other case, the Advance Property Hold fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and is NOT applied toward the future rent or fees as the case may be. The Advance Property Hold does not guarantee you this year's rate. Guests have the option to decline this rental after the owners have published their 2017 rates, prior to executing the lease (approximately October/November).
Time is of the essence when requesting Advance Property Holds! For 2016 guests interested in holding the same home for the same week in 2017, it is best to take care of the paperwork and payment while still on the Outer Banks. If this is not convenient or applicable, guests should call our office by Monday following your departure at 5:00 pm. At 9:00 am on the Tuesday morning following departure, the home is available to book on a first-come-first-served basis. Availability is often limited due to the Advance Property Holds already placed by departing 2016 guests, so it is best to call us first thing that morning with several vacation home choices in mind.
Weddings are permitted in homes that allow special events. Please notify us at the time of booking your Advance Property Hold if you plan to hold a wedding or other special event during your stay.

The same home and same week guests booked in 2016 is held for them until 5:00 pm on the Monday following their departure. To make arrangements, current guests may turn in their completed Advance Property Hold Form and $50.00 payment to our office during their stay or at check-out. Upon receipt of the Advance Property Hold form and payment, the home is held off the market for that guest until a lease is sent in the fall. At that time, the initial payment is required to secure the reservation.
Guests interested in a home for a 2017 time frame should call our office on the Tuesday following the 2016 departure date to request an Advance Property Hold. For example, guests interested in placing an Advance Property Hold on the week of June 10-17, 2017 should call our office at 9:00 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. An Advance Property Hold will be booked as long as the home and time frame requested are available.
