We stayed in the Escape Patch for 20 years watching others enjoy the pool in the Memory Maker. We all agree this area has the best beach. The most friendly people are in Duck. We always rent from Twiddy because you make it easy with a dog, you have maid service, and sheets & towels. Those things really help make it a vacation for us. We used another company once and they made us give a dog deposit, we had to bring our own sheets and towels and at the end there was a list of what we had to clean before we left, bathrooms, fridge...uggh! Thank you is not enough for what Twiddy did for our family vacation. We had rented a home from another rental agency and when we arrived the home was not ready for our family and the amenities we were to have with the home were not going to be available for the week. The agency was not able to give us another home because we had booked a pet friendly home. I called Twiddy at around 2 pm while down in Corolla and asked if there was any way we would be able to book a semi-front or oceanfront house that allowed pets for this day. I was glad to hear there were several that we could chose from. The reservationist took all my information and booked the house for us. We were able to be in the house within about 1 1/2 hours. We were very glad for the quick turn around on having the lease signed and the home cleaned and ready for us. Twiddy and Co. was wonderful. They helped turn a very bad day into a wonderful week of relaxation and fun. Every one on staff was great. It is not very often I am sure that you have someone looking to rent a house on the same day. So thank you for all that you did. We had previously rented from Twiddy and will stick to only renting from Twiddy from now on. Thank you again to all who help make our vacation wonderful.- 5/24/2008

They were always very cordial and helpful - including helping us find a place and answering questions about various homes and their layout as we tried to decide which one would work best for us. We particularly appreciated the fact that Twiddy met us at the door when we arrived and alerted us on our cellphone when our house was ready so we could move in early. We have had a family reunion beach trip every year for the last 35 years. Our family keeps growing (now over 40 of us). We used to go to the Jersey shore, but for the last two years have come to the Outer Banks.
