Outer Banks Nor'Easter 2009

The November Nor’Easter We’ll Remember - The Outer Banks recently weathered what forecasters called a “perfect storm”. Remnants of Tropical Storm Ida reorganized then bumped into a low pressure system causing it to move very slowly. The sustained winds and heavy rain increased the storm surge threat with each high-tide cycle. The northern Outer Banks saw roadways flood in patterns similar to “Ernesto” and some areas reported “Isabel”-like damages.
