Currituck Beach Lighthouse

Restored by the Outer Banks Conservationists in 1991, the Currituck Beach Lighthouse was built in 1875. It is one of two lighthouses in North Carolina open to the public for climbing.

The Lost Colony

The oldest outdoor drama in the country, The Lost Colony tells the story of the first English settlement attempt in the new world. Performances held June-August.

The Whalehead Club

Built in the 1920s, this stately soundfront estate has served as a private vacation residence, a boys' school and an army training base. Now open for daily tours, The Whalehead Club is full of antiques and local lore. The perfect place to catch a sunset or launch your boat. Wright Brothers National Memorial
